The 17 UN Global Goals for Sustainability has placed outdoor and play based learning at the forefront when teaching about the Global Goals.
At Hermitage Primary we believe outdoor learning is Β a vital, hands-on part of primary school life. We challenge students in nature to build crucial life skills like creativity and resilience, preparing them for real-world tasks. By engaging directly with our local environment, we develop genuine environmental stewardship. We carefully encourage thoughtful risk-taking to foster confidence and independence, which directly supports their overall wellbeing. Ultimately, we aim to inspire authentic discovery and deep enjoyment that translates into lifelong learning and connection to the world outside.
